09/02/2008: "Quick update"

So, I'm.. uh.. going fishing. Never mind that I haven't actually been fishing since I was 5 years old, and that was only once, at a fish pen (or whatever they're called), and even then I don't think I caught anything.

At the rate my life's going, I'm not sure I have any right to be surprised by pretty much anything. If I wake up in a purple dinosaur costume next week serving microwave hamburgers to Frenchmen on a street corner, I think that's probably going to be where I draw the line. Alas, I won't be surprised. Just.. you know.. drawing a line.

'Cause, frankly.. they're French. Seriously..

Also, I got the high school contract. I teach 9 hours a week. It's really not much of a difference, as the job is through my current school, but it's still awesome to officially work at a top-ranked high school in the region. At least I can write it as a reference.

I'll actually update on the details of this stuff later. I'm tired right now and need to head off to bed.. just figured I'd share the shock of the news on the fishing front.
